When we first annoucned that Disney had agreed to a green light on Gore Verbinski's The Lone Ranger, we did not know if the initial release date was the same. Now Walt Disney Pictures has confirmed that the date has indeed been pushed back and set release dates for Thor 2 and Phineas and Ferb.
Lone Ranger now gallops into theaters on May 31, 2013, a date it has to itself at the moment. It had been scheduled for a December 21, 2012 release, but can't make that date since it begins filming on February 6, 2012. The cast includes Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, Ruth Wilson, Dwight Yoakam, Helena Bonham Carter, James Badge Dale and Barry Pepper.
The big screen version of Phineas and Ferb is set for a release on July 26, 2013. The movie is based on the popular Disney Channel animated series.
Thor 2 was previously set for July 26, but Disney/Marvel has shifted back to a November 15, 2013 release. This is good because for now, the sequel is alone on that date as well.
