THE DARK KNIGHT RISES may Occupy Wall Street

Christopher Nolan is rumored to be taking the production of The Dark Knight Rises on a little field trip. According to Vulture (via  L.A. Times) the film may shoot some of their New York City scenes at the Zuccotti Park protests where Occupy Wall Street has been taking place. This news is currently unconfirmed and might not happen. This makes me think about possible plot points that would call for mass demonstrations.

 

Any thoughts of why Nolan would want to use that spot?
