Dear video game sites,
I read your news today, and oh boy. If I had a nickel for every headline I clicked on with "hard news" that turned out to be nothing more than a speculative article written by some fan boy, or better, a repeated rumor that was reported by another site with little to know evidence...well let's just say I'd be rolling deep riding downtown in a trolley in 19th century Chicago in a night filled with debauchery and burlesque shows.
For real though, how many of you guys went to college for Journalism because you are for sure not following many, if not all of the rules of professional reporting.
Or it could be you're all just the video game developers bitches. Let me give you history lesson.
Idk how you guys roll overseas, but here in America, "The Fourth Estate" (media) was created in essence to be a government watchdog to essentially protect and alert the citizens of our country from the inevitable scandal, corruption, and lies that overcome men of power. In the words of Thomas Jefferson.
Our liberty depends on the freedom of the press, and that cannot be limited without being lost.
In placating to the wishes of developers and the big three, make no mistake you are doing a disservice to the gaming community, something we at Gametyrant do not and will not do.
If were going to give a game a s*** review upon it's release, you can bet your ass we aren't going to hype it up if we play a developers preview.
Go ahead and tell me it's hard to judge a game while it's still in development. I've been playing video games my whole life and I promise you, finished or not, I have not played a game that I didn't have a stern opinion on within 5 minutes of play.
So gaming companies won't want us to play their games if we blacklist a title, screw em. The good ones will still come back, and will have nothing to hide. I never was the kid to give the bully my lunch money to prevent a bruising and I'm not about to start, that I promise you.
I guess what I'm saying is when it comes to Gametyrant, we'll give you the facts, information, and possibly even a preview or two, but we'll never s*** in your Xbox and call it a good COD game if it's just a update of the previous installments.
So keep on posting your stories about the death of Nintendo, sub-par games, how PS3 is better than Xbox or vice versa, or continue to give bland and meaningless speculation on console systems that won't be around until 2015 (next predicted graphical enhancement for gaming), were looking out for the gamers...n00bs.
