Stuntman dies on EXPENDABLES 2 set

Production on The Expendables 2 is off to a rough start. It is being reported that an accident occurred yesterday on set leaving one stuntman dead and another in critical condition. The 2nd Unit was filming an explosion scene at reservoir Ognyanovo, which is 15 miles from Bulgaria's capital of Sofia. Sylvester Stallone and director Simon West were filming with the main unit in the mountain resort of Bankso, 2.5 hours away from the incident.

Here is a stateent from Nu Image/Millennium Films:

"It is with great regret that we confirm this unfortunate accident. Our hearts go out to the families and those on the production affected by this tragedy. The filmmakers are working closely with the authorities in responding to and investigating this accident."

Bulgarian police are currently investigating the incident. The names of the victims are not being released to respect the families.

Filming just began last week, lets hope there are no more accidents.
