Justin Timberlake circling Coen's INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS
Justin Timberlake may have found his next project, now that In Time has arrived in theaters. Variety reports that the singer-turned actor is in talks for one of the lead roles in the Coen brothers' folk music pic Inside Llewyn Davis. The film is set during the folk music scene in Greenwich Village in the 60's. The story follows the title character that is loosely based on Dave Van Ronk, a folk singer who was friends with Bob Dylan, among other famous musicians.
Timberlake would play the role of Jim, a folk musician married to Jean, who will be played by Carey Mulligan. Oscar Isaac (Drive, Sucker Punch) stars as the title character, "a struggling folk musician born and bred in Queens. Despite being a talented singer and guitarist, he just can't seem to make ends meet playing music."
Timberlake was great in Alpha Dog and The Social Network, but I have not been a huge fan of his other films. Bad Teacher was decent, but I can not stand Cameron Diaz. This sounds like a good role for him, but it will be interesting to see if he can play the role and make me believe that it's not Timberlake on screen.
