Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin to Star in new Comedy

New Line Cinema is currently in talks to pick up a comedy spec script that would reunite Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin for the first time since the 2010 Oscars. Of course Oscar Producer Adam Shankman would end up directing he film as well.

The film project is described as being described as Trading Places meets Grumpy Old Men. There's absolutely no other information on the story for the film other than that. I think Martin and Baldwin would make a great team together on a solidly good comedy. Other than the Oscars, which ended up not being as funny as I would have hoped, they also starred in the romantic comedy film It’s Complicated, which I didn't really care for either. Regardless, I still think they would make a great comedy team with the right material. Maybe this will be it.
