DREW STRUZAN: OEUVRE - Exclusive Poster Art and Book Review

Art Drew Struzan by Joey Paur

I love poster art, one of my first jobs was as an assistant to a movie poster illustrator by the name of David Willardson. He did a lot of stuff for Disney in the 90's. I grew up around artists so poster art is just something I'm very fond of, and artist Drew Struzan was one of the best. His work consists of some of the greatest movie posters of all time.

There's a new book that's been released called Drew Struzan: Oeuvre and it's a definitive collection of his incredible artwork. The book include 250 pieces of Struzan's artwork, and every singe piece included is fantastic. Struzan's artwork is legendary, and it's sad that we'll never see movie poster art with such care, passion, and detail again. Not unless Struzan creates it. Studio's have resorted to cheap looking photoshop jobs.

This is a must own book for any movie or art lover. I've include three exclusive pieces of art to share with you from the book as well.
