Will Dr. Ellie Sattler be Returning For JURASSIC PARK 4?!

A little known fact about me is that I have a sick obsession with the movie Jurassic Park.  I watch it everytime it is on, even when it’s  in Spanish, and I will pop it in the DVD player about once a month.  My wife hates it, but I have a fever and the only cure is more Jurassic Park.

I like all three movies, but I always took the talk of a JP4 coming out as pure rumor.  Then I was at the panel for TINTIN at SDCC and the man himself, Steven Speilberg, say that he would be meeting with the writer for JP4, I was filled with extreme joy. 

Now there is some awesome news floating out there that Dr. Ellie Sattler herself, Laura Dern, might be reprising her role. CBM informed us about what Dern thought about this development:

I hear it’s happening. I think it’s got a ways to go. Steven is about to immerse himself in Lincoln, which is really exciting and something he’s poured his heart and soul into for a long time. I’m so excited because Daniel Day-Lewis is playing Lincoln. Once that’s finished, there’s always been talk that my character is deeply involved in [Jurassic Park 4] somehow, but I haven’t heard yet.

The movie is being directed by Joe Johnston (The Rocketeer, Captain America: The First Avenger, and oh yeah Jurassic Park 3) and is being written by Mark Protosevich.  I am excited to see what they bring for round four.  Let us know what you think!
