Colin Firth Offered Villain Role in OLDBOY Remake?
It's being reported that Colin Firth the star of last years wonder film The King's Speech could end up playing the villain in Spike Lee's adaptation of Park Chan-wook's Oldboy. We previously heard that Christian Bale was up considering the role, but I guess that's out as an official offer has gone out to Firth. It he accepts he will be play opposite Josh Brolin.
Firth is a surprisingly awesome choice for this role. He's an amazing actor that I can easily see playing a hardcore sinister villain. I hope he takes it, I would love to see Firth take on this insanely dark role. There was also mention of Rooney Mara joining the cast a few months back, but that has yet to be confirmed.
