David O. Russell's The Silver Linings Playbook is poised to make another Oscar run. The Playlist reports that the film from The Fighter director has been scheduled by The Weinstein's on November 21, 2012. This is the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, which seems to be their favorite to time to release their Oscar-worthy films. This year they have My Week With Marilyn and The Artist for the holiday and in 2010 released The King's Speech around the same time.

The film is based on the Matthew Quick's book, which centers on "Pat Peoples (Bradley Cooper), a former high school teacher who, after being released from a four-year stint in a mental institution, moves back in with his mother, then seeks to reinvent himself, finding the titular silver linings in his life." Jennifer Lawrence stars as Pat's love interest, with Julia Stiles as her older sister. Jacki Weaver, Robert De Niro and Chris Tucker round out the cast.

This film will likely make the festival rounds before it's release. Things are definitely looking good next year with Django Unchained and this coming out around the holidays. What are your thoughts on this news?
