THE MUNSTERS TV Reboot gets Official Order from NBC

NBC has officially ordered the TV reboot of The Munsters which is being developed by Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller. The original series took place in the 1960's but this new version will be set in modern day. The one-hour drama pilot is described as being "visually spectacular", which makes sense with Fuller on board, his stuff has always been solidly awesome.

According to THR "Fuller’s new look is said to be an edgier and slightly darker take exploring origins of Herman and Lily Munster (originally played by Fred Gwynne and Yvonne De Carlo) and how they arrived at the famed 1313 Mockingbird Lane address."

Earlier on there was word that Guillermo del Toro would also help in developing the series. Which isn't a surprise since he revealed himself that he was working a few TV shows, and this seems like something he would definitely be involved with.

The show has previously by described as being a mix of Modern Family and True Blood. Sounds awesome to me!
