The Classic Arcade Game RAMPAGE getting Big Screen Adaptation

Movie by Joey Paur

Remember the classic 1980's arcade game Rampage that featured three humans who mutate into a giant Godzilla-like lizard, a werewolf and a gorilla. They climb up city buildings and destroy the hell out of them, fight off the military, and eat people? I would play this game all of the time at the arcade when I was a kid, I pumped thousands of quarters into playing this game. You simply got to demolish things, and as a kid that was freakin' fun!

New Line Cinema is going to take Rampage and adapt it into a feature film! John Rickard will produce the movie and is currently meeting with writers to develop a story. Rickard has co-produced several New Line movies such as A Nightmare on Elm Street, Final Destination, Horrible Bosses and Bryan Singer's upcoming film Jack the Giant Killer.

This should be a hard story to put together as it's a bunch on giant monsters devastating cities. There's a couple other giant monster movies in the works such as Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim and of course Gareth Edwards Gozilla reboot.

According to THR "the project aims to take advantage of the title and the visuals of the game." What are your thoughts on this game being adapted for the big screen?
