Robert Zemeckis has found his scribes for his upcoming Garden Gnome movie. Deadline reports that Chad Damiani and JP Lavin have been hired to adapt How To Survive A Garden Gnome Attack for Zemeckis' Imagemovers banner.

The film is planned as an edgy PG-13 version with scary animated garden gnomes and live-action. It is based on the Chuck Sambuchino novel, which is"a survival guide, preparing the homeowner on the off chance the lawn ornaments stage a home invasion." The project could wind up being directed by Zemeckis. The duo most recently penned Max Steel for Paramount and producer Joe Roth, and they adapted the comic book Geronimo for producers Alexandra Milchan and Antonio Moura Santos Jr.

This sounds like a perfect project for Zemeckis and I am excited to see how edgy this will actually be. What are your thoughts on this news?
