Rupert Wyatt may direct Michael Fassbender in LONDONGRAD for Warner Bros

Rise of the Planet of the Apes director Rupert Wyatt may be teaming with X-Men: First Class' Michael Fassbender on a new project. Deadline is reporting that Warner Bros is in talks with them for Londongrad, the drama about the mysterious death of former KGB spy Alexander Litvinenko, who was poisoned in 2006 with polonium-210. Wyatt would direct Fassbender in the role of Litvinenko.

David Scarpa wrote the script the story. As Litvinenko deteriorated in a London hostpital bed, he went public with accusations that he was done in by then-Russian president Vladimir Putin. The mystery was never really solved. Alan Moloney will serve as a producer along with Graham King, Johnny Depp and Christi Dembrowski’s Infinitum Nihil.

I think that Fassbender will do wonderful in any role he takes on because he immerses himself in the character. What are your thoughts on this news?
