Chris Pratt in talks for Kathryn Bigelow's KILL BIN LADEN

One of my favorite comedies on TV is NBC’s

Parks and Recreation

so I was pleased to hear the following news. Twitch reports that

Chris Pratt

 (

Moneyball

) is currently in talks to take the lead in

Kathryn Bigelow

’s upcoming untitled real-life action drama once called

Kill Bin Laden

.

The film has been in production before US forces actually killed Bin Laden so

The Hurt Locker

director had to recraft the script. There were also

some allegations

that the Obama administration has been illegally sharing classified information with the filmmakers about the actual operation. This may force the release date to be pushed back until after the next federal election.

Joel Edgerton

was at one point cast in the film but dropped out over scheduling conflicts. There have since been rumors that

Tom Hardy, Guy Pearce

and

Idris Elba

were circling the film. As Twitch points out, Pratt is the only American of the bunch, which is interesting. Producers are now aiming for a February start to production.

What are your thoughts on Pratt taking on a badass role like this? Do you think he can pull it off?
