Will HE’S FUCKIN’ PERFECT be Funny Or Die Trying?
Lauryn Kahn got her start working as Adam McKay’s assistant and worked at writing, performing, and directing various shorts for Funny or Die. Kahn seems to be ready to graduate to the next level. Deadline reports that Fox 2000 purchased her spec script, He’s Fuckin’ Perfect and is nearing a deal to have Jake Szymanski direct and Gary Sanchez produce. Szymanski has a history of directing some of the funniest comic spots for the site.
Fox 2000 recently bought the spec for $1 million against $1.5 million. Emma Stone was reportedly circling the film, but Deadline says that is currently unlikely. The comedy focuses on “a social media-savvy girl who is pessimistic about love and vets her friends’ dates to find flaws. When that process leads her to uncover the perfect guy, she decides to use her Internet research skills to turn herself into his perfect match.”
