Bruce Campbell--Back in OZ, THE GREAT AND POWERFUL--Discusses His Role!
Not long after we heard that Bruce Campbell would have a pivotal cameo role in Sam Raimi's OZ, The Great and Powerful, we found out that the part had unfortunately been cut. Back in November hetweeted, “My scene in Oz has been cut before the shooting. It happens on epic flicks. Disappointed, but all good w/Sam. On to the next adventure!”
Now according to a recent report Campbell has revealed that his part is back in and that he will in fact be in OZ, The Great and Powerful! Here's what he told The Shiznit in an interview...
The scene that I shot was a page [of the script] and it took all day. It was great to see the scope of Oz and to see the detail, and the craftsmanship and the professionalism and the incredible stuff that they’re doing visually in every other way.
He doesn't say who he will be playing in the story but he does say what it involves.
I play a pivotal role. It involves me and Oz – that’s James Franco – and let’s just say that we have a confrontation. It was a very fun role to do actually.
The question is: is the role as pivotal as he says it is? I hope so! It's good to hear that he'll be back in the movie. I can't wait to see what Raimi is going to do with this one. What are your thoughts on what Campbell had to say here?
