First Look at Mel Gibson's HOW I SPENT MY SUMMER VACATION

Back in 2009 Mel Gibson starred in a action movie called How I Spent My Summer Vacation, but due to all of the controversy surrounding the actor in his personal life the movie was placed on the shelf. The movie is now awaiting a release date of summer 2012, but who knows if that will actually happen. As of right now it has no U.S. distributer.

According to The Playlist the movie was shot in Mexico, and was directed by longtime second unit and assistant director Adrian Grunberg who worked on films such as Apocalypto, The Limits Of Control, Traffic, and Jarhead. In the film Gibson plays a career criminal who finds himself locked up a Mexican prison, and learns to survive thanks to the help of a 9 year-old boy.

I'd love to see a trailer for the film because if could actually be a freakin' awesome movie! I know a lot of people don't like Gibson, but the guy is talented, and has made some pretty incredible films. I hope that he's able to get some more projects going soon, he's just a solid storyteller and filmmaker.
