Screenwriter Hired to Write Script for Mark Millar's NEMISIS

Movie by Joey Paur

I'm really looking forward to this feature film adaptation of Mark Millar's comic book Nemisis. Tony Scott is set to produce & direct the film, and now our friends at Latino Review have revealed who will write the script for the film, and it's a solidy good choice.

Matthew Michael Carnahan (Lions for Lambs, State of Play) is currently in talks with 20th Century Fox to adapt Millar's comic into a screenplay. It will be interesting to see what Carnahan does with this story, and I'm interested in seeing what kind of changes he makes, because as much as I enjoyed reading the comic it could use a few improvements.

I love the concept of this story, I enjoyed reading the comic, and I think it will make for a great film.

Here's the official description of the comic from Marvel.

CIVIL WAR? Nothing. KICK-ASS? A warmup. What if the smartest, toughest costumed bad ass in the world was totally evil? Meet Nemesis. He's systematically been destroying the lives of every police chief in Asia, and he's now set his sights on Washington, DC. Between you and me, the police don't have a chance. Do not miss the book that EVERYONE will be talking about by the creative team that made CIVIL WAR the biggest book of the decade.
