Adrianne Palicki lands lead role on WONDER WOMAN TV show

Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights, Red Dawn) is set to star in the title role of Wonder Woman in the series pilot from David E. Kelley.

The series pilot is a reboot of the iconic DC Comics title in which Wonder Woman – a.k.a. Diana Prince – is "a vigilante crime fighter in Los Angeles but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life."

The show is being exec produced by Kelley and Bill D’Elia (Boston Legal, The Practice). The pilot was written by Kelley and will be directed by Jeffrey Reiner (NBC’s The Event) for from David E. Kelley Productions and Warner Bros. Television.

Palicki, will next be seen on the big-screen in the remake of Red Dawn. She starred as Tyra Collette in Friday Night Lights.  She also starred in the horror film Breaking the Girl and in the recent series Lone Star.

I am looking forward to Red Dawn, but am not too excited for Wonder Woman.
