Collection of John Hughes Movie Inspired Artwork

ArtMovie by Joey Paur

Hey gang! Here's a great collection of artwork that was inspired by the film of John Hughes. There's currently a new art show going on at Gallery 1988 in Venice CA called The Road To Shermer, a tribute to John Hughes. The show opened up on Febuard 11th and will run through March 4th so if you're in the area and looking for something to do you might want to check this out.

We've posted a few of these art pieces below already but the majority of them are new to me. For those of you who are for some reason not familiar with Hughes, he's created films such as National Lampoon’s Vacation, Sixteen Candles, Mr. Mom, The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Plaines Trains & Automobiles, The Great Outdoors, Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, Dutch, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

I hope you enjoy the artwork below!

Some prints and original artwork is still available for purchase at the gallery or on their website. Gallery 1988 Venice is located on 214 Pier Avenue in Santa Monica, CA 90405. Hours: Wed – Sun: 11 AM – 6 PM, Mon & Tues: Closed.  Phone: (424) 238-5988
