Blake Lively and Eddie Redmayne join HICK

Blake Lively and EddieRedmayne have signed on to star alongside Chloe Moretz in the upcoming dramedy Hick from Derick Martini.

This is a feature adaptation of Andrea Portes novel of the same name. Portes also penned the script based on her debut novel, which tracks "a 13-year-old Nebraska girl who gets more than she bargained for when she runs away to Las Vegas."

Variety reports that "Lively will play a grifter who meets Moretz's character on the road and takes the girl under her wing. Redmayne would play another loner who tries luring Moretz away and also shares a past with Lively."

Charles de Portes is serving as executive producer. The film is being produced by Steven Siebert and Christian Taylor under Siebert's Lighthouse Entertainment and Taylor's Taylor Lane Productions.

I am a big fan of Moretz and the story sounds pretty good. Lively will be seen next in The Green Lantern, which I am not too excited to see. Redmayne will next be seen in the period film, My Week with Marilyn.
