Kat Dennings to star in new comedy series TWO BROKE GIRLS for CBS
Kat Dennings is set to play one of the two leads in CBS' multicamera comedy pilot Two Broke Girls, co-written and executive produced by Michael Patrick King (Sex and the City) and comedian Whitney Cummings.
Dennings is the first to be cast in the project, which centers on "two girls from very different backgrounds - Max (Dennings), poor from birth, and Caroline, born wealthy but down on her luck - who wind up as waitresses in the same Brooklyn diner, and strike up an unlikely friendship that could lead to a successful business venture... if they can come up with $250,000 in start-up expenses."
She got her start in TV with breakout roles opposite Bob Saget in the WB sitcom Raising Dad and had a story arc on NBC'sER. She has starred in such films as The House Bunnyand Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist(my personal favorite) and will next be seen in Thor.
I think that she has great comedic timing and will be good in this role. What are your thoughts on this news?
