Respire starts in the 30's and quickly fast forwards to present day.  In the 30's Dr. Robert Kaminsky discovers that a persons last breath holds the power to curing disease and prolonging life, but with a price. He fins a way to harness the breath in vials. The movie doesn't spend too much time with the past and moves right in to present day with novelty shop Susan Jordan owner played by Tracy Teague who is battling for her life and who has pretty much given up on life. Her character is reckless, rude, chain smokes and comes a cross cold in the beginning. Jordan comes across a box that contains, you guessed it, some of the vials but not all of them. the path takes its course, Jordan becomes healed and her life changes over night but with consequences, as there are other side affects wit her quick recovery and shady people looking for these vials as well! As the side affects start hitting Jordan she begins investigating the history behind the vials and the miraculous cure the hold. Throughout the movie and into the end Teague's character grows darker.

Respire is a dark movie and is shot really well by director David A. Cross. There's not a lot of FX but aren't really needed for the movie.  The story is well written and lures you in quickly to take the dark journey with the main character.  The movie runs 90 minutes and there really isn't any slow or dull moments the entire time.

Respire is definitely worth checking out on DVD!

The DVD release date is February 15th.
