NBC Cuts THE CAPE Season 1 Short. Could Cancellation Be Next?

NBC’s The Cape might as well be re-titled The Cape of No Hope. Today, the network revealed plans to shave three episodes off the first season. Taking that and factoring it with the lackluster numbers the show has been pulling in makes it appear that cancelation is imminent.

In the promotional campaign for The Cape, several comparisons where made between it and The Dark Knight. This, in my humble opinion, was slightly misleading; the series actually had more similarities to the Batman of the 1960s than the one of the 2000s. Had the campiness been more heavily promoted, perhaps the show would’ve found an audience. Who doesn't like cheesy superheros battling over-the-top villains?
