First Look: Terry Gilliam's THE WHOLLY FAMILY and more

Terry Gilliam be the recipent of this year’s Fellowship award at the Bradford International Film Festival. In addition, the festival will be screening a retrospective of the director’s works, including some rarities and, very excitingly, the premiere of his new short film, The Wholly Family.

Here is a statement from the director:

To be honoured by such an important festival pre-posthumously will force my family to treat me with some respect while I’m still alive.  I will always be grateful for that.

The Wholly Family is currently in post production, but will be ready for the fest, which runs March 16-27.

Check out the photos published in the Italian magazine Ciak below:

As you can see above there are the members of the Wholly Family, with Nicolas Connolly as the son, Douglas Dean as the father, Cristiana Capotondi as the mother; and some other characters that, so far, I have little real idea of, though they’re obviously dressed like a clown from the Comeddia Dell’arte.

Thanks to our friends at BleedingCool we also have some behind the scenes footage from the shoot. Check it out below and share your thoughts!
