Kiefer Sutherland says, "Yes, There Will Be a 24 Movie"

The last thing we heard on the possibility of a 24 movie was that it wasn't going to happen. A script for the film was turned in last year, but both Kiefer Sutherland and 20th Century Fox said the project had been shelved. Now Sutherland is saying once again that a 24 movie will happen.

The actor was on ABC's Good Morning America where he was asked by the show's co-host George Stephanopoulos if there was going to be a movie, and Sutherland's response was...

Yes, there will be a 24 movie.

He later appeared on Live with Regis and Kelly, where he talked about how he feels that the story isn't finished and that there's "still a presence" in his life. The co-hosts also asked him about the movie in which he said,

We hopefully will start next January and I think Tony Scott is one of the directors that has expressed great interest in doing it and he would be fantastic, so I'm very excited about that.

I really hope this is actually going to happen, and that the actor is not just not being very overly optimistic. The fact of the matter is, he's very excited about it moving forward.

Other TV spin of movies we are waiting for include another X-Files movie and a Arrested Development movie.
