Red-Band Movie Trailer for PAUL

Universal Pictures has released a hilarious new red-band trailer for their upcoming sci-fi geek comedy Paul. The R-rated alien adventure film was directed Greg Mottola (Spuperbad), and it stars the great comedic duo of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost and of course an alien voiced by Seth Rogen.

I've been getting word from some of our readers who recently went to a test screening that the movie is "awesome!" The new trailer below shows off some of the fun vulgarity being used by a little CGI alien space man. There's just something about it that cracks me up. Check out the trailer and tell us what you think!

The official plot synopsis:

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reunite for the comedy adventure Paul as two sci-fi geeks whose pilgrimage takes them to America’s UFO heartland. While there, they accidentally meet an alien who brings them on an insane road trip that alters their universe forever. For the past 60 years, an alien named Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen) has been hanging out at a top-secret military base. For reasons unknown, the space-travelling smart ass decides to escape the compound and hop on the first vehicle out of town—a rented RV containing Earthlings Graeme Willy (Pegg) and Clive Collings (Frost). Chased by federal agents and the fanatical father of a young woman that they accidentally kidnap, Graeme and Clive hatch a fumbling escape plan to return Paul to his mother ship. And as two nerds struggle to help, one little green man might just take his fellow outcasts from misfits to intergalactic heroes.

The film also co-stars Jane Lynch, Jason Bateman, Sigourney Weaver, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Blythe Danner, and Jeffrey Tambor. Paul is scheduled to be released in theaters on March 18th 2011.
