WRATH OF THE TITANS Starts Shooting in 10 Days, will be "more natural gritty"

I don't know anyone that's actually excited about seeing a sequel to the remake of Clash of the Titans, except of course for the cast and crew that are getting paid to work on the movie. Hell, in this economy I'd work on it as well and be happy to collect a pay check.

Director Johathan Liebesman (Battle: Los Angeles) is set to direct the Wrath of the Titans for Warner bros. which is scheduled to start shooting in ten days. Liebesman replaced Louis Letterier who ruined the first film.

According to a report from Comingsoon, "the actors have already been in training for three weeks with plans to start shooting the film in ten short days in order to make its March 23, 2012 release date, while Liebesman has been traveling to the Canary Islands and all over England and Wales looking for interesting locations to shoot the movie." Liebesman goes on to explain why this sequel will be better than the first film,

It's going to be a much more natural gritty, grounded fantasy movie, Just think 'Gladiator' with lots of creatures, I'm excited. It's a good opportunity to do something awesome with some great actors in a great genre.

Well, I guess we'll eventually see how that all turns out, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Are you?
