Cast Revealed for David Chase's Feature Film Debut

Movie Casting by Joey Paur

The cast for The Sopranos creator David Chase's feature film debut has been announced today. It's been four years the hit HBO Sopranos series ended, and since then Chase has been pretty quite. Last year he said that he was going to write and direct an untitled coming-of-age, period rock drama for Paramount Pictures. At one point it was rumored that the film would be called Twylight Zones.

It was previously reported that the film would star star James Gandolfini and Lisa Lampanelli, now Variety has  announced that the rest of the cast will include Brad Garrett, Bella Heathcote, Christopher McDonald and Molly Price

Gandolfini will play the father of a teen in a rock band, set in 1960s suburbia, with John Magaro playing his son. Garrett will be portraying a composer / music producer. Price will play the boy's mother with Lampanelli as his aunt, and McDonald plays the father of the boy's love interest (Heathcote).

Chase had this to say about Gandolfini in a statement,

He is the perfect actor for this part – a postwar, post-Depression era parent who has given his kid every advantage that he didn't have growing up, but now can't help feeling jealous of the liberated, more adventurous destiny his son is able to enjoy.
