New SUPERMAN Movie will Have a Kryptonian Villainess
Earlier this week news hit the web that Alice Eve, Diane Kruger and Rosamund Pike have moved to the top of the Warner Bros. list to star opposite Henry Cavill in Zack Snyder‘s Superman. It was not revealed at the time what role they were up for though. The only think we knew is that it was not for the role of Lois Lane.
The internet went crazy with reports that Lois Lane wouldn't be in this movie, but come on people, we all know better. Superman and Lois Lane are like peanut butter and jelly. You can't have a Superman movie without Lois Lane. Of course she's going to be in the movie.
As for the role that the actresses above are in the running for... our friends at Latino Review recently got some intel from a "most trusted reliable source" that reveals the character is going to be a Kryptonian villainess named URSA.
URSA is the same villain that we've seen in both Superman: The Movie and Superman II. The character was played by British actress Sarah Douglas at the time.
This brings up a very interesting question... will ZOD be in the movie as well? After all, two thirds of the criminals from Krypton were banished by Jor-El to the Phantom Zone. I know Snyder has said previously that he wouldn't be, but you never know. Do you think they would tell us the full truth so early on in production when story details are still being worked out and finalized? Probably not, at least I wouldn't sayanything.
