Will THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Include Robin?

I always felt that there was no way that Christopher Nolan would include Robin in the Batman world that he created. It doesn't seem like that character would fit in it. When news hit that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was in talks to join the film in an unspecified role, one thought that jokingly crossed our minds was... could it be for the role of Robin?

Now there's a little hint that's been reported which suggests that Batman's side-kick Robin could possibly be included in The Dark Knight Rises. The news comes from a Michigan TV station WILX, here's what the report said,

According to Eaton County and Grand Ledge officials who didn't want to be identified due to confidentiality agreements, production crews from "The Dark Knight Rises" scouted locations in Grand Ledge's Fitzgerald Park last week.

They looked at the Ledges as well as a water treatment plant located inside the park. Sources say the area is being considered as a hideout for Batman sidekick Robin.

That's a very interesting bit of news. But know knows if it's even true or not. For all we know they got there facts mixed up, maybe they were looking for a Batcave location. Or they could be scounting locations for a hideout for one of the other villains in the film.

We'll eventually find out what this all means, or if it was just a mix up. I guess if Nolan did want to throw Robin into the mix he could find an awesomely effective way to do it. I just don't see why Nolan would close his Batman trilogy with the introduction of Robin.

What do you all think?
