Alan Menken Writing Original Song for CAPTAIN AMERICA
I'm still a little high off that awesome Captain America trailer that aired during the Super Bowl yesterday. Of course I can't stop watching it, I think the movie looks awesome! We have some new news to share with you on this movie today regarding the music.
Alan Menken, the Oscar nominated composer that worked on films such as The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin will be writing some original music for the Joe Johnston directed Captain America film.
Menken is an incredibly talented song writer, but he will not be writing the musical score for the film, he will be writing song or songs for the movie. It will be interesting to see what he comes up with for this movie. Will we see a superhero musical number? It is suggested that it will be used when Captain America is in the USO.
In the story Steve Rogers is too valuable for the military to put him in to actual combat, so they send him out on stage as part of a USO tour.
