3DS Nearly Sells Out Over Launch Weekend In Japan

"See if you can find the guy who doesn't have a girlfriend."

According to the Wall Street Journal, Nintendo almost sold out all copies of the new Nintendo 3DS this weekend in Japan. The video game giants finished out Sunday having sold 371,326 units out of the 400,000 produced to sell, and the rest are expected to sell soon.

This is excellent news for Nintendo executives, who feared the health risks to children under the age of 6 would limit sales, and bittersweet for many future blind 6 year olds.

So far the most popular game is "Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask" which is a solid choice, but now im concerned that the 3DS version of "Street Fighter IV" may not be that awesome if it can lose to a dinky puzzle game (no offense professor).

The 3DS launches March 27th stateside...but if you can't wait that long, hit up ebay for a Japanese copy, or youtube for some vids of the new games!
