2 Short Clips from Shawn Levy's REAL STEEL

Two very short film clips have been released for Shawn Levy's new film Real Steel, which stars Hugh Jackman, Evangeline Lilly and Anthony Mackie. The clips come from a viral website that has been set up for the film.

I love the concept of the film, which is kind of based on the Twilight Zone episode, Steel. I'm not a big fan of Sean Levy's work which includes the Night at the Museum movies. The movie looks like it could be fun from the trailer that was released, but I don't have high hopes for it. I just have a feeling it's going to end up being corney, like Levy's other films.

In the film Jackman plays Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.

Watch the two short clips below showing off two brand new viral videos that give us a glimpse at two of the boxing robots, Noisy Boy and The Mighty Zeus. Let us know what you think.
