Team behind LIKE CRAZY moves on to THROUGH TO YOU

Drake Doremus, Jonathan Schwartz and Ben York Jones, award-winning directors from Like Crazy, are re-teaming on a new film with Paramount Pictures titled Through To You. The LA Times reports that Paramount and Montecito Picture Co. have acquired rights to the novel about "a youth-themed science fiction romance." The deal is still being negotiated, but Doremus plans to direct, Jones to write and Schwartz to produce.

The young-adult novel, written by Emily Hainsworth, will be published by HarperCollins in 2012. The story centers on "a grieving teen who discovers a parallel world in which his girlfriend is still alive," which is similar to Sundance hit Another Earth, which also deals with tragedy and alternate universes.)

The trio had such great success with Like Crazy, (winning a special jury prize for Jones) and now they plan to bring the romance with a genre twist in this film. Be sure to read our review of Like Crazy, which I can't wait to see.
