Amy Adams to Join ROCK OF THE AGES

It looks like Amy Adams (The Fighter) is going to join director Adam Shankman's new film Rock of the Ages. Adams will play a journalist in the film who " falls into a bedroom romp with Tom Cruise's decadent rock star character, Stacee Jax," the arrogant and charming star at the top of his career. Cruise will sing Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead of Alive". The journalist  role was originally offered to Anne Hathaway but she had to pass because she's playing Catwoman in Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises.

According to Deadline, Adams will "play an uptight journalist who intends to eviscerate Stacee Jax with an expose. A seduction ensues instead, and after they duet to the Foreigner song I Want To Know What Love Is, nature takes its course. 

I think this will be a fun role for Adams to play, we know she can sing because she did a really good job at it in Disney's Enchanted. 

The film is scheduled to be released on June 1st 2012.
