Chris Pine has Read the Script to STAR TREK 2 and Kirk will have a Love Interest
The actor who portrayed Captain James T. Kirk in J.J. Abrams' incredible Star Trek reboot, Chris Pine, has now read the script to the sequel Star Trek 2, and he seems pretty excited about it, and gives a little hint at a plot line which isn't to surprising for Captain Kirk. Here's what Pine had to say on his Official Facebook page,
After a thousand questions regarding the Star Trek sequel I can finally say I am holding the draft script in my hand. I can also now tell you I have a love interest and it's all looking very exciting. Sorry but I cant give you a date for filming yet, but you guys are going to love it
Of curse Kirk would have a love interest! Why wouldn't he, it's Captain Kirk we're talking about here. The character really didn't have one in the first film, but this time around a solid love interest will add a little more weight to the story and character.
The big question is... who could his love interest be? I'm going to take a shot at guessing and say either Carol Marcus, introduced to us in The Wrath of Khan as Kirk's Former flame, and the mother of his son David. It makes sense to me, but you never know, it could end up being a completely new character. Either way I'm still looking forward to this sequel!

It was just pointed out to me that the Facebook page is not an official Facebook account of Chris Pine. But, Kirk having a love interest isn't to far fetched to think about.
