Edgar Ramirez Rumored to be up for SUPERMAN Villain Role

After Zack Snyder revealed that Viggo Mortensen would not be playing a villain in his Superman flick, our friends over at Latino Review went and did some digging around and found that actor Edgar Ramirez "is supposedly being eyed for a villain role in Zack Snyder’s Superman film." There's no word on who the villain will be, it could be General Zod... hell, it could be anyone at this point. There's an extremely tight lid on this production, which is a good thing. The less we know the more surprised we'll be. Right?

Ramirez has appeared in films such as Vantage Point, The Bourne Ultimatum, Che, and will be in the upcoming Wrath of the Titans movie. There is no confirmation of Ramirez auditioning for any role at this time, just that his name has been mentioned as a possible prospect, so file this under rumor for now. We'll know more as soon as Snyder and the studio want to reveal anything. 

There's no doubt Ramirez would make a great villain though.
