The Aquabats get a New TV Series on THE HUB Channel

TV The Aquabats by Joey Paur

The new family channel The Hub has acquired a new series built around the incredibly awesome band The Aquabats! I grew up on The Aquabats and to this day they remain one of my all-time favorite bands. They put on one of the craziest and most fun concerts ever. Little known fact about me... I actually played an evil Crab villain at one of their concerts where the band proceeded to kick my ass. It was one of the coolest experiences ever.

Anyway, the new TV series will get a 13-episode order and is being produced by Christian Jacobs, Scott Schultz, and Jon Berrett and their production company The Magic Store, who is behind the Nickelodeon hit Yo Gabba Gabba! Jacobs and Schultz created the Aquabats series, and Jacobs will also star in the series. He is one of the founding members and the vocalist of The Aquabats.

The Aquabats were formed in 1994 in Orange County, CA, and are known for their mythology, with the band members going by their superhero pseudonyms and wearing matching superhero costumes as they go on a quest to save the world from evil forces through their music. The band's current members include The MC Bat Commander (Jacobs), Crash McLarson (Chad Larson), Jimmy the Robot (James Briggs), Ricky Fitness (Ricky Falomir) and Eagle "Bones" Falconhawk (Ian Fowles).

The Magic Store also recently received a fourth season renewal from Nickelodeon for Yo Gabba Gabba!, which was picked up for an additional 13 episodes.

I've actually been watching The Hub a ot lately, I've enjoyed watching their vintage TV show line-up which includes show like G.I. Joe, The Wonder Years, Family Ties and more.

So what do you all think about the Aquabats getting there own TV series!?

I've included a short documentary that revolves around The Aquabats that we premiered a couple of years ago.
