First Image of Johnny Depp in HUGO CABRET

Here's our first look at Johnny Depp in Martin Scorsese's new 3D film The Invention of Hugo Cabret. based on the best-selling childrens novel. Depp plays M. Rouleau in the film... he's got a nice French style moustache thing going on. 

The scan is from an article about photographer Brigitte Lacombe in an issue of "Le Parisien" from last week. The translated caption reads: "left to right, Johnny Depp as M. Rouleau, Chloe Moretz as Isabella (sic), and Asa Butterfield as Hugo."

The movie is schedualed to be released on November 23rd, and also stars Sacha Baron Cohen, Ben Kingsley, Jude Law and Emily Mortimer.

The novel centers on an orphaned boy who secretly lives in the walls of a busy Paris train station and looks after the clocks. He gets caught up in a mystery adventure when he attempts to repair a mechanical man.
