Sony Pictures close to buying PAN starring Channing Tatum

It looks like the Peter Pan project that has Channing Tatum attached to star may be getting close to being picked up by Sony Pictures. Deadline reports that Tatum will produce along with Reid Carolin and Joe Roth. Billy Ray is working on the script, which will be "a dark re-imagining of the Peter Pan tale."

Tatum will be seen in Sony's 21 Jump Street, which I am sure has helped with this possible deal. Roth is working on Oz: The Great and Powerful, which is being directed by Sam Raimi and will star James Franco in the lead.  

I am the only writer on this site that does not hate Tatum. I think he was decent in The Eagle. While I am not excited for Jump Street, this may be a good project for him because of Roth's involvement.
