Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, Donald Glover, Connie Britton & Aubrey Plaza to Star in THE HAND JOB

Bill Hader recently revealed in an interview with Collider that there's a couple new films he working on getting developed. One is a new comedy from a script his wife, Maggie Carey, wrote called The Hand Job. The script showed up on the 2009 Black List of the best unproduced screenplays in Hollywood, and back in October that Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation) was attached to play the lead role in the film. Her character is a 17-year-old girl who wants to learn about various sexual activities before she goes to college.

Hader also revealed that there is some more great talent attached to the project which includes Andy Samberg, Donald Glover (Community)and Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights). When asked about what Hader would be up to during SNL's hiatus he said,

There is this movie called The Skeleton Twins that is trying to find funding that me, Anna Farris, and Mark Duplass are attached to.  This guy, Craig Johnson, is going to direct it.  Mark Heyman, who wrote Black Swan, wrote it.  It’s more of a drama with me and Anna Farris playing twins.  It’s really interesting.

Then my wife, Maggie Carey, wrote a movie that was on the Black List called The Hand Job for Aubrey Plaza that she plans to write and direct.  That movie is kind of in the same place as Skeleton Twins.  They are kind of trying to get their funding together.  It’s a really cool movie.  The cast for that is great.  It’s got Aubrey Plaza, me, Andy Samberg, Donald Glover, Connie Britton, Alia Shawkat, Mae Whitman, and Johnny Simmons is attached to it.  It’s a really cool movie that is insanely funny.  We did a reading of it at the Austin Film Festival and it just blew the roof off of the place.  People went nuts for it.  I really hope that happens.

I really hope this movie gets made. I would love to see this group of actors and comedians get together for a film project like this. It could be very funny, and I could always use a good laugh.
