WORLD WAR Z close to production, Robert Richardson working on cinematography

As we reported earlier, Marc Forster's World War Z looks as though it's no longer in trouble. BleedingCool reports today that the film appears to be on closer to production, the film’s cinematographer is busy prepping at one of London’s major studios. Brad Pitt is slated to star in the film based on Max Brooks' novel. Robert Richardson, recently wrapped Martin Scorsese’s Hugo Cabret is currently hard at work preparing for the film. He's commonly referred to as a “stylist” and has worked on such films as, Kill BillNatural Born Killers and Eight Men Out

The film looked like as though it would not see the light of day just a few weeks ago, so I am very happy to hear this news. With Richardson officially on the job, you can pretty much consider that the film is in pre-production and cameras could roll as soon as next month, perhaps even later this month.

Have you read the book yet? Are you excited about this news?
