Michael C. Hall and Vera Farmiga to star in LOVE, SCOTCH AND DEATH for Dexter creator James Manos, Jr.
Michael C. Hall and Vera Farmiga are set to star in the directorial debut of Dexter creator James Manos, Jr. in a film called, Love, Scotch and Death. Manos wrote the screenplay about a character based on himself, to be played by Hall. According to Deadline, the story covers "a rather bizarre week" in his life. "After returning from a stressful vacation, he discovers his parents have died of natural causes together in bed, which forces him to navigate his way past an unsympathetic funeral director, his bewildered children and manic wife, an eccentric priest and some over-sexed neighbors. There is also an arrest for assault and the death of his wife’s beloved dog." Production for Love, Scotch and Death is slated to start in November, after the sixth season of Dexter wraps.
Manos won an Emmy winner for scripting on The Sopranos and was also a writer and producer on The Shield before having a hit with Dexter for Showtime. I am a huge fan of The Sopranos and enjoy Dexter. The story sounds a little depressing, but Manos and Hall are good at dealing with dark subject matter on Dexter.
