Jake Johnson joins 21 JUMP STREET

Jake Johnson has joined the cast of the feature adaptation of Columbia Pictures’ 21 Jump Street. This will be the second time he's worked with Jonah Hill, after starring in Get Him To The Greek. Hill and Channing Tatum play undercover cops working the high school beat. The supporting cast also includes Ice Cube, Brie Larson, Rob Riggle and Dave Franco. The film is being directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller and is based on their screenplay. Neal Moritz is producing and Tatum is serving as excecutive producer. Production is slated to begin later this month.

Johnson will work with Hill again, when he voices one of the main characters in Hill's animated Fox pilot Allen Gregory. He most recently starred in Ivan Reitman's No Strings Attached, and stars as Uma Thurman's younger brother in Max Winkler's Ceremony. He is also starring opposite Zooey Deschanel in Liz Meriwether's Fox pilot Chicks and Dicks.

Johnson is pretty funny and think that he will be a good addition to the cast. I hate to say this, but I actually think I may be changing my opinion on this film. With him and Riggle in the mix along with Hill, they cancel out Tatum's possible bad acting.
