Williow Shields cast in THE HUNGER GAMES

Movie The Hunger Games by Joey Paur

Lionsgate and director Gary Ross hascast another new fresh young actor for a key role in The Hunger Games film adaptation. Willow Shields has been set to play Primrose Everdeen, the sister of Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence). Primrose is the character who originally gets selected to participate in The Hunger Games.

Shields will also join Leven Rambin, Jack Quaid, Dayo Okeniyi andAmandla Stenberghad been cast in the roles of Thresh and Rue, respectively. The cast also includes Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson. Hemsworth has been cast as Gale Hawthorne andHutcherson is set to play Peeta Mellark.Elizabeth Banks was most recently cast in the role of Effie Trinket.

Here's a run down of the characters personality from the story:

Prim had a love for living things. She loved animals of all kinds, even the ugliest ones. Not only does she have a pet goat that Katniss gave her, but a gruesome, ugly cat she named Buttercup. Starving and swarming with parasites, Prim brought the wretched creature home. Katniss intended to drown him, but Prim begged so hard for Katniss to let him live that she decided to allow the cat to stay. She has a passion for healing. She doesn't care how ugly a person looks on the outside, and is willing to do her best to heal them. She is also very caring and stays at her mother's side with even the most horrid cases, even though she is "scared of her own shadow".

The casting in this film has been pretty solid so far, and I think Shields looks like she will fit the role extreamely well. Whgat do you all think?
