Jeremy Renner Confirmed for THE BOURNE LEGACY!

Universal Pictures has officially cast Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker) in their upcoming Jason Bourne reboot/prequel The Bourne Legacy. It was reported earlier this month by Latino Review that the studio would offer the role to him. Well, they did, and he took it!

The director of the film Tony Gilroy originally wanted Sucker Punch’s Oscar Issac to star in the film. The studio didn’t approve, and like I said earlier... I don’t blame them, he was absolutely terrible in Sucker Punch

Renner is a great choice, and Gilroy should be happy about it. I'm sure he is. I think Renner will make for a pretty awesome "Bourne". I can honestly see him being a better "Bourne" than Matt Damon. He's a great actor and he can easily play a badass that people can root for.

Renner is a star that is quickly rising in Hollywood. He recently got finished shooting Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol, and he is currently making Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, and of course he's set to play Hawkeye in The Avengers. What do you all think about Renner taking over the Bourne Franchise? Do you think he'll be better than Damon?
