Tony Jaa to Kick-Ass in 3D Sequel to TOM YUM GOONG

Movie by Joey Paur

Tony Jaa is ready to get back to work busting heads and bruising bodies with he knees and elbows. He is set to star in a 3D sequel to Tom Yum Goong a.k.a. The Protector. He will team up once again with director Prachya Pinkaew and fight choreographer Panna Rittikrai for the film, which has a budget of 300 million baht or around $10 million in U.S. currency.

Tom Yum Goong 2 will feature the return of cop sidekick Petthai "Mum Jokmok" Wongkumlao, and will also star JeeJa Yanin, who kicked some major ass in the incredibly awesome martial arts flick Chocolate, which apparently is also getting a 3D sequel.

If you haven't seen Tom Yum Goong yet, you've got to check it out! Jaa plays a villager who chases his stolen elephant to Australia, where he engages in in some awesomely insane fight sequences.

As you know Jaa went on to direct and star in two Ong-Bak sequels/prequels, which ended up leading to a crazy meltdown and lead him to become a monk. Jaa is an incredibly talented martial artist, who has made some awesomely entertaining films. It's great that he was able to pull himself together, and get back into action with this new film. I can't wait to see how this turns out.

Check out this incredible fight scene from the first movie filmed in one continuous shot.
