Jane Lynch cast as Mother Superior in THE THREE STOOGES

Jane Lynch is set to play the role of Mother Superior in The Three Stooges for Peter and Bobby Farrelly. At one point Cher was in talks for the role, but no deal was made.Mother Superior "runs the orphanage where the trio grows up, despite her best efforts to get them adopted." Lynch joins the cast that includes Will Sasso as Curly, Sean Hayes as Larry, and possiblyChris Diamantopoulos, who who is up for the role of Moe.

The Farrelly Brothers wrote the screenplay the PG-rated slapstick film. The Three Stooges is said to have a $30 million budget and will be filmed in three 27-minute segments (just like the originals) to make a single story. Production is scheduled to begin in May for a 2012 release.

Jane Lynch is the only thing about Glee that I like. This week I re-watched Role Models and was reminded of how funny she was in that. It will be cool to see her in this role, which I think she'll be perfect. What are your thoughts on this casting news?
